Alterations and Measurements

At DBL we care about our clients’ needs and understand that a personal touch is also extremely important. That’s why we have collaborated with the Exclusive Alterations Studio.
Alterations Studio is based in Sydney, Australia with over 20 years of vast experience in alterations. They have 11 stores throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area (for Sydney based Australian clients). You can locate their stores at www.alterationstudio.com.au
Alteration Studio will gladly and professionally measure your body for your perfect fit. You will then be able to fill in your measurement details and submit them online together with your chosen dress or uploaded desired dress photo.
All DBL clients will receive a 20% discount from Alterations Studio for any alterations required on dresses purchased at DBL.
Orders & Prices
- Orders are submitted online.
- An e-mail confirmation will be sent for each purchase order.
- The price of each dress is inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) (applies for Australian orders only) but excluding postage and handling.

Depending on requirements of each dress, prices are subject to change.
Delivery time frames
- Please allow up to 3-8 weeks depending on quantity ordered, complexity of design, and upon receiving receipt of the required deposit amount (see payment)
- For urgent deliveries please specify required time frame – additional charges will apply.
- All quotes excludes delivery fees and charges.
Payments
- DBL custom-made dress - Deposit must be made for the commencement of production.
- DBL custom-made bridal dress - Required deposit of 25% on the full purchase amount including GST (applies to Australian orders only).
- DBL custom-made formal and cocktail dress - Required deposit of 50% on the full purchase amount including GST (applies to Australian orders only).
- Accepted money orders, bank cheques and direct deposit (preferred method) details given upon confirmation of order(s).
Important notes:
Please note that all cheques will need to be cleared which may take 4-5 business days for the commencement of production.
Additional charges may be made upon any amendments made to the dress design or measurements after production has commenced.
Quality Assurance
DBL assures that all products are of the highest quality. However, in case of issues or complaints of workmanship, you can contact us via email within 5 days after delivery of the goods. After that date, we shall not entertain any complaints anymore. If you are returning a dress due to a fault, or you believe it has not been made to the specification given by you, we will alter or re-make a new dress to the correct specifications at no extra cost. You will need to send us photos of the incorrect measures for further investigation. However, if incorrect measurements are supplied to us, we will make alterations in your dress with an alteration fee.
Customer satisfaction is of high importance at DBL.
DBL has a QC team (Quality Control Team) internationally.
QC team's goal is to ensure that standards of quality are being met.
QC team assesses the level of specific quality and requests of each dress. The basic goal of quality control is to ensure that the products, services, or processes provided meet specific requirements and are dependable and satisfactory.
Refund & Return policy
- No refund upon full payment of purchase.
- If you cancel a booking after payment of a deposit, the deposit will be forfeited.
- We will happily replace any dresses that are faulty within 5 days of receipt (shipping and mailing costs will incur for any replacements)
Important notes:
Dresses are non refundable. Please consult the measurement model available for your accurate measurements.
